In Assam, security forces have arrested 8 terrorists and their associates of National Democratic Front of Bodoland- Songbijit faction, NDFB(S) in Kokrajhar and Sonitpur district last night. Inspector General of Police, L R Bishnoi told AIR that among them, two were directly involved in recent massacre in Kokrajhar district. Acting on the inputs of arrested terrorists, police recovered huge cache of weapons from a dense forest under Kachugaon police station. Mr. Bishnoi informed that 4 pistols, 3 AK series rifles , 1 HK rifle, 8 grenades, over 300 rounds ammunitions, among others have been recovered.

In another incident, 2 Bodo militants were arrested in Sonitpur district. 81 persons lost their lives in recent massacre in Kokrajhar and Sonitpur districts.
