In Assam, 74 percent re- polling was reported at 6 booths in three Lok Sabha constituencies. Chief Electoral Officer Vijayendra said that re-polling was necessitated at 4 polling booths in Jorhat and one each in Dibrugarh and Tezpur constituencies. These seats went to polls in the first phase on the 7th of this month.

Meanwhile, campaign for 3 seats has come to an end this evening. Polling will be held on 12th of this month in Silchar, Karimganj and Autonomous District seats. A total of 37 candidates are in fray in this phase.
