Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the north-east, sounded its poll bugle from Assam's Golaghat district on Sunday ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. AGP celebrated its 39th foundation day in Golaghat on Sunday. Party president and Assam Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, working president and Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta and other senior leaders participated in the event. Speaking to reporters, Atul Bora said that his party has made all preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. He said, the party is prepared for the Lok Sabha polls and they are confident that they will be able to send their representatives to the Lok Sabha this time. They are yet to discuss seat sharing with the BJP, he added.<br />'' <br />'' He also said that his party is happy to work and be a part of the BJP-led Assam government under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
