In the Asian Track Cycling Championship, Indian cyclists added 2 Golds, a Silver, and a Bronze to their kitty on Day 3 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi yesterday. In Para Track Cycling events, Arshad Shaikh bagged the Gold medal in the 1 km Time Trial C2 category, clocking an impressive timing of 1 minute 25.753 seconds. This was his second Asian Gold medal. Aryavardhan Cheelampalli secured the Silver medal in the same event with a timing of 1 minute 41.071 seconds.
Adding to India's medal tally, Para Women Cyclist Jyoti Gaderiya also clinched the Gold medal in the 500-meter Time trial of the C2 category with 52.450 seconds. In the Junior Women's category, Sarita Kumari showcased her talent by securing the Bronze medal in the Final race with a remarkable timing of 36.966 seconds.
Currently, India have 12 medals, including Five golds, four silvers, and three bronzes, demonstrating the strength and tenacity of its cycling contingent. The event will conclude on the 26th of this month.
