Asian stocks today slid toward a second month of losses in a row, and even the glittering Nikkei paused, as weak Chinese factory activity fed grew doubts about the post-pandemic recovery in the world's second-biggest economy.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index slipped two percent and Japan's Nikkei-225 tumbled 1.45. Singapore's Straits Times index fell 0.9 percent and China's Shanghai Composite index was 0.6 percent down. South Korea's Kospi declined 0.35 percent.
European Markets were down in intra-day trade. France's CAC-40 slipped 0.6 percent and Germany's DAX was 0.4 percent down. London's FTSE-100 declined 0.1 percent.
