Asian stock markets mostly lower, China's Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.2 percent

Most of the Asia-Pacific stocks today logged losses. China's Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.2 percent while Singapore's Straits Times fell 0.3 percent. South Korea's KOSPI fell half a percent and Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 1.2 percent. Trade did not take place in Japan's Nikkei-225.

European shares were also tumbled in intra day trade. London's FTSC-100 was trading flat while France's CAC fell 0.3 percent and Germany's DAX tumbled 0.7 percent.
