Asian stock markets ended mixed, today. So Japan's Nikkei 225 index and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index inched up 0.1%, each; but South Korea's Kospi index fell marginally; and Singapore's Strait Times index closed flat. China's Shanghai Composite index is closed for holidays till Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Bank of Japan today kept the benchmark interest rate unchanged at 0.1% as expected at a policy review.Meanwhile, European markets were trading higher for the fifth straight day. So key indices in the UK, Germany and France were up by about 0.5%, each, in intra-day trade today.
