Asian stock markets end mixed, Singapore's Straits Times index adds 0.1 percent

Asian stock markets ended mixed today ahead of a US economic update this week that is expected to show growth slowing. Most stocks moved in a flat-to-low range. Japan's Nikkei-225 and Singapore's Straits Times index added 0.1 percent each. However, South Korea's Kospi index and China's Shanghai Composite index declined 0.8 percent each and Hong Kong's Hang Seng slumped 0.6 percent.
 
The European markets were trading lower today in intra-day trade, amid earning session as investors eye monetary policy.

London's FTSE-100 and France's CAC-40 declined nearly 0.1 percent while Germany's DAX was trading flat.
