Asian shares on Wednesday rose following overnight gains in the US equity indices. Japan's NIKKEI-225 climbed 1.7 percent while trade did not take place in other leading East-Asian share markets.
 
European markets were also up in intra-day trade. London's FTSE 100 rose 0.9 percent, France's CAC gained 0.5 percent and Germany's DAX added 0.4 percent.
