Asian Markets logged gains except China's Shanghai Composite slipped marginally by 0.2 per cent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained two per cent and Japan's Nikkei-225 rose 1.3 per cent. South Korea's Kospi climbed 0.4 per cent and Singapore's Straits Times was up 0.2 per cent.

European Markets were trading up in intra-day trade. London's FTSE-100 gained 0.8 per cent, Germany's DAX rose 0.9 per cent and France's CAC-40 was trading around 1.2 per cent up when reports last came in.
