So Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 2.1%; South Korea's Kospi lost 0.8%; and Singapore's Straits Times index slid 0.9%. But China's Shanghai Composite index rose 0.2%. The Japanese market was closed for a national holiday.European shares slipped for a third day, today, with pharma firms falling after the House of Representatives approved an overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system, while renewed worries over Greece hurt banks. Key benchmark indices in France, Germany and the UK were down by about 1%, each, in intra-day trade, today.
