Asian Markets ends mixed

Asian markets ended mixed, today, ahead of a key meeting between Greece and its creditors later in the day. Japan's Nikkei-225 rose 1%; and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index added 0.3%. But China's Shanghai Composite index lost 1.4%; Singapore's Straits Times Index shed 0.7%; and South Korea's Kospi closed flat. European markets fell from a five-month high, as the World Bank cut its global growth forecast. Key benchmark indices in the UK and France were down 0.2%, each, while Germany's DAX was flat in intra-day trade, today. Later today, the Greek government is slated to resume talks with its bond holders, represented by the Institute of International Finance, to discuss a voluntary write-down on Greece's sovereign debt.
