Asian Kabbadi Championship: India runners up

India came runners up in the Asian Kabbadi Championship, staged in Lahore , while hosts Pakistan emerged Champions. In the Punjab Stadium the Indian coach Gurmail Singh was punished by the referee for disrupting the match, after which the Indian team walked out in protest leading to Pakistan being declared winners. At that time Pakistan were 40-31 ahead of the Indian team. The Indian coach was shown the green card for entering the field and disrupting the match. Gurmail Singh was protesting the decisions of the linesman. When he did it for the third time the Pakistan Team lodged a protest. After heated exchanges the Indian Team decided to leave the field after which Pakistan were declared winners.Afghanistan, Iran, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Nepal were the other participating countries in the five day Asian Kabbadi Championship.
