Asian Games: India win three bronze in boxing & squash

In Guagzhou Asian games, India won three bronze medals today. In Boxing , Kavita Goyat settled for bronze medal in 75 kg women category after losing to China's Jinzi Li in semifinals.Boxer Suranjoy Singh settled for bronze medal in 52kg category after losing in men's semifinals.In the evening, five-time world champion woman boxer M C Mary Kom will fight in 51 kg category in semifinal bout against another Chinese Cancan Ren. In squash Indian team settled for a bronze medal after being defeated by Malaysia 0-2 in the semifinals. The Indian quartet of Joshna, Anaka, Dipika Pallikal and Anwesha Reddy had to be contend with the bronze medal along with the Korean girls, who too suffered a 0-2 loss at the hands of Hong Kong in the other semifinal.Malaysia and Hong Kong will clash for the gold medal in the Town Gymnasium tomorrow.Afghanistan defeated Hong Kong by eight wickets to reach the semi-finals of the Asian Games cricket tournament today in Guagzhou. Honkong were all out for 63 in 17.4 overs. Afghanistan will now clash with Pakistan for a place in the final. India is on 9th spot with a haul of 7 gold, 12 silver and 23 bronze.
