Indian men's hockey team entered fiinals of the Asian Games. India defeated South Korea one-nil to enter the final. The country has a wait of 16 years for the Hockey men's gold. With this victory India has also qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympics.Earlier today, Olympian MC Mary Kom stormed into the finals of the Flyweight category. In the semi-final bout this morning, she defeated Le Thi Bang of Vietnam, 3-Nil. Whereas, Sarita Devi Laishram and Pooja Rani have settled for a Bronze each after they lost their semi-final matches. However, Sarita Devi has lodged a protest against her semi final loss for biased judgement.In the Men's section, Satish Kumar advanced to the semis whereas Shiva Thapa lost in quarters. Now hopes are pinned on Laishram Devendro Singh and Vikas Krishan to play their respective quarter finl bout.In Sailing, Varsha and Aishwarya win bronze in 29er women's two person dinghy event.India thrash Pakistan 23-11 in men's team preliminary Group match and women's team defeated South Korea 45-26 to advance.In Wrestling, Ravinder Singh, Krishnakant Yadav and Harpreet Singh lost their respective opening round bouts of the Greco Roman category.Earlier in the morning, Ashwini Akkunji and Jithin Paul qualified for the Finals of the 400-metre Hurdles. In the Heats, both finished at the second spot in their respective sections to book a place in the finals. However, other Indian in the Men's section, Joseph Abraham could not qualify.Later today, Tintu Luka and Sajeesh Joseph will figure in the heats of their respective events, while Siddhanth Thingalaya will compete in the Men's 110m Hurdles Final.In Discus Throw, after Seema Punia's Gold, Vikas Gowda will be looking to give India another yellow metal today.In Taekwondo, Latika Bhandari in women's 53 kg divison lost in quarterfinals.
