In Athletics, Khushbir Kaur finished second in the Women's 20km Race Walk to give India it's first medal of the day. Runners Poovamma Raju, Mandeep Kaur, Kunhu Mohammad and Rajiv Arokia, and Hammer Thrower Manju Bala will be seen in the Finals of their respective events, later today.A Bronze came from tennis as Yuki Bhambri lost his semi-final match in Men's singles event. Indian duo of Sanam Singh and Saketh Myneni have brightened hope for a gold medal as they entered men's doubles final. We can also witness an all Indian finals if another Indian duo of Yuki Bhambri and Divij Sharan defeat Korea in semi finals. The pair of Sania Mirza and Prarthana Thombare settled for a bronze as they lost to Chinese Taipei's in semi final. Sania will also be seen in action in the Mixed Doubles semi-finals Saketh Myneni.In other results, grappler Yogeshwar Dutt stormed into men's 65 kg freestyle wrestling finals. In semis he came from two point deficit to pin fall his opponent Yeerlanbieke of China. Whereas, Babita Kumari lost her semi final bout and will figure in repechage. Earlier, Satywart Kadian and Jyoti made an exit in the last-8 stage.In Boxing, MC Mary Kom and Laishram Sarita Devi sealed semi-final berths. Pooja Rani is yet to play her quarterfinal bout, while Devendro Laishram will begin his campaign with a Round-of-16 match.In Table Tennis, both the Men's and Women's teams lost their preliminary round matches.In Kabaddi, India defeated Bangladesh in the preliminary round in both Men's and Women's section.The Indian Women's Basketball team lost to Japan in the quarterfinals, 37-70.Earlier in the morning, Indian Archers missed out on Bronze in the Women's Recurve team event.India sits on 12th position with three gold 5 silver and 22 bronze.
