Asian Games: India bags one silver, one bronze on day 7

On the 7th day of the Incheon Asian Games India have bagged a silver and a bronze. Silver came from the shooting range whereas bronze came from the pool.India's overall medals tally is now 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 14 Bronze.The trio of Pemba Tamang, Gurpreet Singh and Vijay Kumar finished second to bag silver in the Men's 25-metre Center Fire Pistol Team event.Swimmer Sandeep Sejwal brought bronze for the country. He finished third in the 50-metre breaststroke finals to bring the first medal from pool in this Asiad.In other results, the Indian Women's and Men's Squash team waltzed into Finals. This brightens hope for two Gold medals now. The Squash team will play their Gold medal match tomorrow.India women's volleyball team stormed into the quarterfinals after beating Maldives in straight sets of 3-Nil.Indian Women's Hockey team reach semi final today after they defeated Malaysia 6-1 in a group clash.Pugilists Kuldeep Singh in men's 81 kg and Shiva Thapa in 56 kg weight class reach quarter finals. Akhil Kumar in the 60 kg weight class lost his pre-quarterfinal bout.Contention for any more medal in Badminton ended today as Indian Shuttlers made exit at different stages in their respective events.In Tennis, Yuki Bhambri and Sanam Singh booked quarterfinal berths in singles event. India's Sania Mirza and Prarthana Thombre have moved to quarters in womens doubles. In Men's Doubles event, pair of Sanam Singh and Saketh Myneni beat Saudi Arabia to reach quarters and the other Indian pair defeated Hong Kong.They will face Chinese Taipei in their quarters. The mixed doubles pair of Sania Mirza and Saketh Myeneni have also reached quarter finals.
