Asian Games: India bag silver in Men's 25- metre centre fire pistol event; women Archery team storms into recurve semi-final<br/>

In the Incheon Asian Games, the Indian Women&apos;s Archery team stormed into the Recurve semi-finals this morning. In the last-8 fixture, the team of Dipika Kumari, Bombayla Devi Laishram and Laxmirani Majhi defeated Chinese Taipei, 5-4 to book a semi-final berth. The Men&apos;s team, however, lost to Hong Kong, 3-5 in the eliminations.Later today, Dipika Kumari and Laxmi Rani will be seen in action in the Individual Recurve pre-quarterfinals, with Jayant Talukdar playing his Round-of-32 match in the Men&apos;s section.In Shooting, Men&apos;s 25-metre Centre Fire Pistol, and Women&apos;s 50-metre Rifle-3 positions events are underway. Vijay Kumar, Pemba Tamang and Gurpreet Singh are figuring in the 25-metre Centre Fire Pistol, while Lajja Goswami, Anjali Bhagwat and Tejaswini Muley are featuring in the 50-metre Rifle-3 positions. In today&apos;s other result, Swimmer Sandeep Sejwal finished at the top in the heats of the 50-metre breaststroke.In the events to follow, shuttler Saina Nehwal will play her quarterfinal match against China&apos;s Yihan Wang today, while P. Kashyap and Srikanth K. will compete in the respective pre-quarterfinals.In Tennis, Yuki Bhambri, Sanam Singh and Ankita Raina will figure in the pre-quarterfinals. The Men&apos;s and Women&apos;s Squash teams will play their semi-final matches.In Hockey, the Women&apos;s team will take on Malaysia in a group match. Pugilists Shiva Thapa, Akhil Kumar, Kuldeep Singh and Amritpreet Singh will play their pre-quarterfinal bouts.China is currently at the top of the medals tally, with Japan second and Korea third. With 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 13 Bronze, India is 15th.
