Asian Games, Day 6: India bags 3 Bronze, Hopes up for gold

India have bagged three Bronze medals on the 6th day of the Incheon Asian Games. The overall medals tally for India now stands at 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 13 Bronze.Indian Rower Swaran Singh clinched the Bronze in the Men's Singles Sculls Finals, while India finished third in the Men's Eight Final. The other bronze came from shooting as trio of Shreyasi Singh, Shagun Chowdhary and Varsha Varman bagged bronze in the Women's Team Trap Finals. Indian Archers Compound Men's Team has stormed into the finals of the event. In Compound Individual events, Trisha Deb reaches semi finals in women's section and Abhishek Verma in Men's section enter semi finals. In Badminton, PV Sindhu crashed out where as Saina Nehwal progressed to the quarterfinals in women's singles event. In the Men's Singles section, K Srikanth and P Kashyap booked last-16 berth. Mixed Doubles pair of Manu Attri and Sikki Reddy, moved to the last 16 stage and Men's Doubles pair of Mannu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy advanced to last-8.In Boxing, Laishram Devendro Singh gets walk-over in Men's Light Fly category to be in per-quarterfinals but Manoj Kumar in 64 kg weight class lost his bout. Tennis saw Yuki Bhambri, Sanam Singh and Ankita Raina advancing to per-quarterfinal. The Men's Doubles team of Saketh Myneni and Sanam Singh made it to the second round and Mixed Doubles pair booked last 16 berth.Squash Men's and women's team have entered Semi final. In Hockey Indian Men's team lost to arch rivals Pakistan 1-2.
