Asian Games, Day 10: India to figure in two Gold medal matches of Tennis

In the Incheon Asian Games, the duo of Sania Mirza and Saketh Myneni in the Mixed Doubles, and the pair of Sanam Singh and Saketh in the Men's Doubles will battle it out for Gold today. While India will play Korea in the Men's Doubles, it will slug it out against Chinese Taipei in the Mixed Doubles.In other events, the Women's Hockey team will clash with a tough Korean side for a place in the finals.After grappler Yogeshwar Dutt's Gold yesterday, Bajrang, Narsingh Pancham Yadav and Pawan Kumar will look to make it big today, and wrestle India to the top of the podium once again. In Boxing, Mandeep Jangra, Kuldeep Singh and Gaurav Bhiduri will play their quarterfinal bouts, while Vikas Krishnan will be seen in action in the last-16 stage. In Athletics, Krishna Punia and Seema Punia in Discus Throw, and Mayookha Johny and Anthony Prajusha in Long Jump, are among the Indians who will figure in the Finals of their respective categories. Shooting, Table Tennis and Canoe Sprint are the events that are in progress and witnessing the Indian participation. In Shooting, the Skeet Men's Qualification and Team Finals are underway. Arozepal Sandhu, Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Parampal Singh Guton are participating in the event. In Table Tennis, the pair of Amalraj Anthony and Madhurika Patkar booked a Mixed Doubles pre-quarterfinal berth, with Ankita Das advancing to the Singles Round-of-32. However, Poulomi Ghatak and Achanta Sharath Kamal crashed out in the round-of-32. In the medal standings, China continues to reign supreme, with 105 Gold, 63 Silver and 50 Bronze. Korea is second, with Japan third. India is 9th with 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 26 Bronze.
