Asian Games, Day 10: Grappler Bajrang storms into 61 kg finals

In the Incheon Asian Games, grappler Bajrang stormed into finals in the 61 kg category, a short while ago. In the semifinal bout, he defeated Noriyuki Takatsuka of Japan, 3-1 to book a finals berth. Pawan Kumar is lost his quarterfinals bout in the 86 kg division. Narsingh Pancham Yadav had, earlier, made an exit.In Shooting, Mairaj Ahmad Khan finished fifth, Parampal Singh 24th and Arozepal Sandhu 29th in the Skeet Men's qualification.In Table Tennis, the pair of Amalraj Anthony and Madhurika Patkar booked a Mixed Doubles per-quarterfinal berth, with Ankita Das advancing to the Singles Round-of-32. In the Women's Doubles, the duo of Ankita Das and Poulomi Ghatak progressed to the last-16, with Madhurika Patkar and Neha Aggarwal also making to the per-quarterfinals.In Tennis, the gold match of men's doubles is underway. Indian duo Sanam Singh and Saketh are battling in finals against hosts Korean, they were down by 1 set when reports last came in. In mixed doubles Sania Mirza and Saketh will also figure in the gold medal match later in the day.In other events, the Women's Hockey team will clash with a tough Korean side for a place in the finals.In Boxing, Vikas Krishnan booked last-16 stage, whereas Mandeep Jangra, Kuldeep Singh and Gaurav Bhiduri will play their quarterfinal bouts today.In Athletics, Krishna Punia and Seema Punia in Discus Throw, and Mayookha Johny and Anthony Prajusha in Long Jump, are among the Indians who will figure in the Finals of their respective categories.
