Asian Games 2014: Saurav Ghosal bags India's first ever Silver in Squash

On fourth day of Incheon Asian Games, Saurav Ghosal scripted history as he becomes the first Indian to clinch a Silver medal in Squash at the Asian Games. Besides, India have also bagged two bronze today from shooting. In a nail biting thriller of Squash Men's Singles final, Sourav Ghosal was leading after the first two games of the gold-medal match but his opponent, Kuwait's Abdullah Almezayen, staged a dramatic fightback winning the next three games to clinch the top prize. In the process, Ghosal became the first Indian to win a Silver medal in Squash but a Gold triumph would have been cherished even more. Shooting range, has brought medals everyday so far and today was no different. Olympian Abhinav Binrda made his mark as he secured Bronze in the 10-metre Air Rifle individual event. Yesterday, he created flutter by announcing his retirement. Abhinav was also part of the team that won bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Team Event. Abhinav along with Ravi Kumar and Sanjeev Rajput finished third. Trio of Harpreet Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Pemba Tamang have also made it to the Men's 25-metre Rapid Fire Pistol finals. We can expexct more medals by evening as our weight Lifters and Wushu participants will figure in their event.
