In the Incheon Asian Games, India had a tough outing today. The only medal of the day came in form of Bronze from Rowing. India's medal tally now stands at has 1 gold, 1 silver and 10 Bronze. The search for Gold continues. Hard effort from Rower Dushyant Dushiant resulted a bronze which could have been Gold. After a comfortable lead in the race he lost concentration due to weather changes. This costed him his precious gold. Besides that India did not came close to the podium today. Now, Shuttlers and Puglists have raised hope as they are surging ahead and medals can be expected from them in the upcoming days. Shuttler Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and Men's double pair of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy have advanced to pre quarter final stages. Indian boxers won nine medals including two golds in the previous edition of Asian Games. While just one gold medal has come for the contingent so far, the tally may well get overhauled as Indian boxers are in action. Today, boxers Shiva Thapa in Men's 56 kg and Akhil Kumar in Men's 60 kg weight class won their respective bouts to be in the last 16. In other good sightings for India, Squash's men and women's team won their group matches and Indian tennis team defeated Pakistan in the Women's Doubles first round, Men's volleyball team won their match against Maldives Rest was covered with disappointment.
