Badminton witnessed shuttler surging ahead with Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and Men's Double pair of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy advancing to pre quarter final stages. Pugilists, Shiva Thapa in Men's 56 kg and Akhil Kumar in Men's 60 kg weight class won their respective bouts to be in the last 16.
