India take on Bahrain in their second group match of the Asian Cup football tournament in Doha today. The match against Bahrain at Al Saad Stadium would be a great opportunity for India to make their presence felt despite skipper Bhaichung Bhutia's absence. Bahrain are ranked seventh in Asia and 93rd in FIFA charts. Bhutia, recovering from calf muscle injury, is expected to play in India's third group match against South Korea on January 18. Earlier India and Bahrain clashed four times, Bahrain winning three of the four encounters. This is, however, their first meeting in the Asian Cup.
