Asian Athletics Championships: India athletes bag four gold medals on Day 2

Nirmala Sheoran led the charge as Indian racers set the track ablaze by grabbing all four gold medals on offer on a sensational rain-soaked second day of the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships, in Bhubaneswar today. Haryana girl Nirmala Sheoran began the gold spree for the hosts by winning the women 400m and soon Muhammad Anas did an encore in the 400 men's event. P U Chitra and Ajay Kumar Saroj bagged a yellow metal each in men's and women's 1500m race. Rajiv Arokia and Jisna Mathew added a silver and a bronze in men's and women's 400m respectively. Women sprinter Dutee Chand, settled for a bronze in 100m. India have so far bagged 14 medals including six gold, two silver and six bronze. China are a distant second with two gold and two silver.
