Asian Athletics Championships: India athletes bag four gold medals on Day 2

Setting ablaze the track, India racers grabbed all four gold medals on offer on a sensational rain-soaked second day of the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships in Bhubaneswar yesterday.Haryana girl Nirmala Sheoran began the gold spree for the hosts by winning the women 400 metre and soon Muhammad Anas did an encore in the 400 metre men's event. PU Chitra won the women's 1500 metre race and the fourth gold of the day was won by Ajay Kumar Saroj in the men's 1500 metre event. While Rajiv Arokia won silver in Mern's 400 metre, Jisna Mathew added a silver women's 400 metre. Women sprinter Dutee Chand, settled for a bronze in 100 metre. Tejinder Pal Singh Toor added a silver in men's shot put. India have so far bagged 15 medals including six gold, three silver and six bronze at the end of the second day yesterday. China are second with 4 gold 3 silver and 2 bronze.
