In Swimming, India won a gold and two silver medals at the Asian Age Group Championships in Bengaluru today.
Men's relay team opened India's account with a gold. The quartet of Srihari Nataraj, Anand Anilkumar, Sajan Prakash and Virdhawal Khade clocked a time of three minutes and 23.72 seconds in the 4x100m freestyle relay.
This timing was almost five seconds faster than Iran who finished second. Uzbekistan finished third.
In the women's 4x100m freestyle relay for open category, the Indian team won the silver medal with a total time of four minutes and 00.76 seconds.
The women's team comprised Rujuta Khade, Divya Satija, Shivani Kataria and Maana Patel.
Thailand women bagged gold with a timing of 3 three minutes and 54.29 seconds. Hong Kong women finished third.
India's second silver medal came in the 4x100m freestyle relay for group II boys.
They clocked a total time of 3 minutes and 41.49 seconds. Indian boys finished behind Japan, who won the gold with a time of 3 minutes and 34.60 seconds and also set a New Meet Record (NMR). Chinese Taipei boys won the bronze medal.
