Asia's shares were mixed today. Singapore's Straits Times index gained 0.4 percent and South Korea's Kospi index rose 0.2 percent. On the other hand, Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 1.4 percent, China's Shanghai Composite fell 0.7 percent and Japan's Nikkei-225 slipped 0.2 percent.  

European shares were down in intra-day trade, London's FTSE-100 declined 0.4 percent, Germany's DAX fell 0.3 percent and France's CAC-40 was trading 0.2 percent down when reports last came in.
