Asia-Pacific stocks today struggled to emulate Wall Street's rebound as persistent worries about the global economic recovery kept investors cautious.
Singapore's Straits Times closed 0.7 percent up, China's Shanghai Composite index added 0.2 percent and Hong Kong's Hang Seng added marginally 0.1 percent.
South Korea's KOSPI remained almost flat while Japan's NIKKEI-225 fell 0.1 percent.
European shares were up in intra day trade. London's FTSC-100 surged 2.4 percent, France's CAC climbed 1.8 percent and Germany's DAX gained 1.6 percent.
