Asia Cup: India beat Pak by three wickets

At Dambulla yesterday, India snatched a sensational three- wicket victory over arch-rivals Pakistan and sailed into the final of the Asia Cup cricket tournament. Chasing 268 runs for a win, India overwhelmed the target convincingly with a ball to spare. Gautam Gambhir top-scored with 83 and Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni made 56. Suresh Raina contributed 37. Harbhajan Singh who remained not out on 15, turned to be the hero at the Rangiri International Stadium. He not only picked up two crucial wickets, but also finished the proceedings in style by hitting Mohammad Aamer for a huge six, with India needing three runs off the last two deliveries. With two defeats out of as many matches, Pakistan crashed out of the tournament along with Bangladesh. India will take on Sri Lanka in the final on Thursday. Before that, both teams will meet each other on Tuesday in their final round-robin encounter.
