Asia Cup Hockey : Indian eves eye berth in final; meet Korea today in semis

India will clash with Korea in the semi-finals of the 8th Women's Asia Cup Hockey tournament at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today. The Indian eves had advanced to the semi-finals, after they defeated hosts Malaysia, 2-0 in their third and final Pool-A fixture on Tuesday. Earlier, in the opener, India had brushed aside Hong Kong, 13-0, before losing to defending champions China, 0-1.
China were the table toppers from Pool-A, while had India finished second. India's today's opponents Korea topped Pool-B, with Japan ending on the second spot.
In the other semi-final today, China will take on Japan.
This competition is a continental qualification tournament for next year's FIH Women’s World Cup to be played in The Hague, the Netherlands from 31st May.
