Bangladesh beat India by five wickets in the Asia Cup at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Friday. Chasing a victory target of 290 runs , Bangladesh won the match in 49.2 overs with the score of 293 runs for the loss of five wickets. Tamim Iqbal made 70 runs while Nasir Hossain and Jahurul Islam contributed 54 runs and 53 runs respectively. Earlier, batting first Team India scored 289 for 5 wickets in 50 overs. Sachin Tendulkar 114, Virat Kohli 66 and Suresh Raina 51 were the top scorers for India. Shakib Al Hasan, who set up the win after his fiery 49 off 31 balls was declared man of the match. Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar became the first cricketer to score 100 international centuries today. Tendulkar was presented a commemorative plaque by the Bangladesh Cricket Board for his achievement. India will now have to win their last league match against arch rivals Pakistan to entertain hopes of making it to the final.
