<span style="color: #222222;">The Ashura-e-Muharram was today observed with due reverence and solemnity in various parts of Telangana to mark the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad's grandson, Hazarat Imam Hussain and his companions, who laid their lives for upholding truth, righteousness and justice in Karbala. The historic Bib-ka Alam was&nbsp; taken out on an elephant, in traditional procession in Hyderabad this afternoon and members of Shia Community observed Matham. <br />''<br />''Amidst COVID guidelines, the procession passed through various parts of old city of Hyderabad including Yakutpura, Malwala Palace, Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Mir Alam Mandi before culminating at Masjid-e-Ilahi at Chaderghat. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar received the procession formally. The local officials made elaborate arrangements for the procession and traffic at many places was diverted along with some restrictions. Religious meetings highlighting the supreme sacrifice of Karbala martyrs were held at many places across the state.</span><br />
