Ashok Kantha presents credentials to Rajapaksa

The High Commissioner (designate) of India, Ashok K. Kantha, today presented his credentials to Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa at a ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.<br/><br/>1977 Batch of the Indian Foreign Service; Mr. Kantha was India’s High Commissioner to Malaysia before his Colombo assignment. He succeeds Alok Prasad, who has joined as the new Deputy National Security Advisor in New Delhi.<br/><br/>In the course of his long career Mr. Kantha has held key positions in Indian missions in Kathmandu, Beijing and Washington D.C. as well as at his Ministry Headquarters in New Delhi.<br/>
