Former Finance Secretary Mr Ashok Chawla on Thursday took an oath of office as a new Chairman of competition watchdog, Competition Commission of India, CCI.

The oath was administered to him by Corporate Affairs Minister Dr M. Veerappa Moily in New Delhi. Mr Chawla has succeeded Dhanendra Kumar who demitted office in June this year.
