Ashok Chavan deposes before Adarsh Judicial Commission

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan today deposed before the state appointed Adarsh Judicial Commission. Mr. Chavan denied having any knowledge about his relatives owning flats in the controversial high rise. The former Chief Minister informed the commission; that he came to know about his relatives’ membership in Adarsh in October 2010 when the scam broke out. He added that all of them have subsequently given up their membership from Adarsh Society.

This is the second time Ashok Chavan is deposing before the commission led by Justice (retd) J A Patil. His earlier deposition was in June when he was questioned about granting undue favours to Adarsh Society.
