Political analyst Ashish Nandy has conveyed to Supreme Court about his willingness to apologise for a 2008 article in a national daily for allegedly portraying Gujarat in bad light. Mr Nandy's counsel told apex court yesterday that his client is ready to tender an unconditional apology which can be published in the same newspaper that had carried the controversial article. <br/><br/>Supreme Court was hearing an appeal filed by Mr Nandy against the 2010 decision of Delhi High Court. The High Court had then refused to quash criminal proceedings by Gujarat Police against Mr Nandy for allegedly promoting communal disharmony. The matter will come up for further hearing before the apex court next week.
