England have seized control of the fourth Cricket Test against Australia. On the opening day of the match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground today, England skittled out the hosts for 98 in their first innings. It is a record low score for Australia in Melbourne. At close of play, England were 157 for no loss. Andrew Strauss on 64 and Alastair Cook on 80 were at the crease. The five-Test series is tied one-one and holders England need only to win in Melbourne to be the first team to retain the Ashes on Australian soil since Mike Gatting's side in 1986-87.
