The leaders of ten ASEAN countries have lauded India's role in Indo-Pacific region and acknowledge its growth story. Briefing reporters in New Delhi about the commemorative summit of India-ASEAN which was held yesterday, Secretary East in the External Affairs Ministry, Preeti Saran said, the group of ten countries acknowledge that India has a significant role in peace, stability and prosperity of Indo-Pacific region.<br/><br/>She said, India and ASEAN stressed on the need to fight against the menace of radicalization and terrorism collectively. The Secretary also informed that India and ASEAN have decided to set up a mechanism for follow up on maritime cooperation.<br/><br/>
