The upcoming ASEAN-India summit will have a declaration on Violent Extremism. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs Anil Wadhwa said the summit will also focus on strengthening security and defence cooperation with the ASEAN countries. The annual summit will be held in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia from 21st to 23rd of this month. <br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the summit level discussions besides holding crucial talks with the heads of the East Asia Forum. He will also hold bilateral talks with several leaders of ASEAN countries. <br/><br/>Mr Wadhwa said the Prime Minister and leaders of Asean will review the strategic co-operation and discuss the future action and consider a new plan of action on trade and investment.
