ASEAN countries investment in India likely to cross $ 60 billion next year

Investment of ASEAN countries in India is likely to cross 60 billion US dollars next year. This was revealed by the Commerce Minister Anand Sharma while addressing India-ASEAN business fair in New Delhi. The trade target between the two has been fixed at 70 billion US dollars. Sharma said that an agreement on services and investment between India and ASEAN is likely to be concluded by the end of this year. AIR correspondent reports that business magnets of India and ASEAN countries are participating in the fair to enhance foreign direct investment in India as three trillion worth investment is required in infrastructure alone in the next five years.
