Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today met Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and sought a probe into 1984 anti-Sikh riots by a Special Investigation Team, SIT. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Kejriwal said he is optimistic and will discuss the formation of the SIT in the next Cabinet meeting.Sikh organisations demanded action in the case contending that a suo motu notice should be taken of Mr Gandhi's statement.

Meanwhile Congress spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala said that his party has always been in favour of any investigation that is just and lawful.
