Arvind Kejriwal calls for people's support to end corruption; Says, Party's struggle was to give power to the people of Delhi

New Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejrival asked common people for outright support to eradicate the menace of corruption from Delhi and as well from the country.

Addressing a huge gathering after swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan, Mr. Kejriwal said it would be a long drawn fight and his party ready to clear dirt from the country. He said, the Party's struggle was to give power to the people of Delhi. Mr Kejriwal said that his guru Anna Hazare opposed him to entering into politics but he assured Anna that he would enter politics to wipe out corruption.

Later, talking to reporters, Manish Sisioda who also took oath as a Minister said the problems of power and water will be resolved soon in the city.

Meanwhile, Congress has said that it will continue to support AAP government in addressing problems related to water and power. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Congress General Secretary Shakeel Ahmed said the party will also extend support to the new government if it regularizes contractual staff in different offices and builds concrete houses for poor living in slums.

BJP President Rajnath Singh and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj have congratulated Kejriwal on taking over as Chief Minister of Delhi. Extending best wishes to him, Rajnath Singh said that he should provide a stable government in the city.

The new Chief Minister said that his government would launch a help line number in next two days to register complaints regarding bribery. He said people could lodge complaints against officials demanding money to do their works in the offices.
