In the semi-final of the 50,000 US Dollar Grand Prix event in Auckland today, he lost to top seed Jen Hao Hsu of Chinese Taipei in straight games 14-21 9-21. The other Indian in the fray, second seed Sourabh Varma also bowed out yesterday after losing to 14th seed Kuei Chun Shih of Chinese Taipei.
