State Bank of India chief Arundhati Bhattacharya has been appointed as the chairperson of the Society and Board of Governors of IIM Sambalpur. An official release said she will remain the Chairperson for next five years. She is the first woman to lead an India-based Fortune-500 company and joined the SBI in 1977 as a probationary officer and held several positions during her long career at the largest bank of the country.
