In Arunachal Pradesh, a journalist Tongam Rina was shot at by unknown gunmen Sunday evening when she was entering her office at Itanagar. 34 year old Rina was the associate editor of The Arunachal Times, an English newspaper.Chief Minister Nabam Tuki said that checkpoints had been set up throughout the state capital and a search operation was underway to nab the gunman. The police have launched a manhunt to arrest the culprits.Meanwhile, Taba Ajum, President of the Press Club of Arunachal Pradesh, said, this was the second incident of a journalist being shot at in Arunachal Pradesh. As a mark of protest, all the newspapers in the state have left blank space on the front page today.
