In Arunachal Pradesh, the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress, has announced its first list of 26 candidates for the October 13 Assembly elections. Trinamool state unit president Kito Sora released the party's first list in Itanagar last night, which consists of two former ministers and nine sitting MLAs. Mr Sora, who is also a sitting MLA, said the party would declare its second list of candidates soon. The list also includes the name of a veteran journalist Gabriel D Wangsu, editor of Dawn Lit Post, English daily published from Itanagar.<br/><br/>AIR Itanagar correspondent reports the JDU has decided to contest 30 to 40 seats in the state.
