Arunachal Pradesh Minister Alo Libang expresses concern on rise in HIV positive cases in state

Arunachal Pradesh Minister of Health and Family Welfare Alo Libang has expressed concerned on the increase in number of people living with HIV in Arunachal Pradesh. He said immediate intervention through hybrid outreach approach will help in detecting the numbers, so that timely help and guidance can be provided to them. The Minister said this while launching the 'Integrated Health Campaign' for Upper Siang District at Yingkiong on Wednesday. The campaign which started yesterday will go on to the 27th of this month.<br />''<br />''The Minister emphasized on the importance of healthy life and called upon the people to avail various healthcare facilities provided by the government. He also appealed the people to get themselves tested voluntarily free of cost during ICTC mobile campaign programme.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Marbom Basar said that presently Arunachal Pradesh has 1899 persons living with HIV positive and 90% of them are in the age group of 20 to 44 years.<br />
