<span style="color: #222222;">Arunachal Pradesh government yesterday extended the on-going total 'lockdown' clamped on July 6 in Itanagar Capital Region (ICR), by one more week in view of a spike in COVID-19 cases.<br />'' <br />'' Addressing a digital press conference, Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar said that the Cabinet meeting took cognizance of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the Capital Region and decided that the lockdown will be extended by one more week till 5 am of July 20.<br />'' <br />'' The CS informed that during this period, intensive surveillance will be carried on at C, E and  F sector, Naharlagun, where positive cases were detected. Contact tracing will also be intensified. Mr. Kumar denied any community transmission of the virus in the capital region.</span><br />
